The Feast Day of St. Mary Euphrasia Pelletier, 24 April 2019, holds a special historic significance in the Province of Central East India/ Nepal:
One more tabernacle installed and blessed; one more new light lit in a new chapel; the new Provincialate inaugurated in Nagpur, Maharashtra!
"Every step of our Shepherd was marked by some great act of compassion."
St. Mary Euphrasia Pelletier
From the time of birth of the new province, we are grateful for the infinite mercies we have been blessed with. Responding to the need of the Province, under the leadership of Sr. Sabina Pathrose, this edifice has become a reality, thanks to the patrimony received at the time of bifurcation and birth of the new province.
With the foundation stone being laid by late Archbishop Abraham Viruthakulangara on 15th September 2014, this immense fountainhead has withstood many a trial before reaching completion. We are immensely glad to have the grand inauguration by Rt. Rev. Archbishop Elias Gonsalves.
The inauguration of the spiritual haven started with a welcome by Sr. Shanthi, followed by the blessing. Sr. Sabina opened the doors of the beckoning home of compassion, after Sr. Mercy George unveiled the plaque, a remembrance of the heritage for the future! The procession followed the Archbishop who delighted in blessing every nook and corner of the home which reverberates the presence of St. Mary Euphrasia, St. John Eudes, Blessed Maria Droste – the trailblazers of Good Shepherd Foundation in CEIN.
Every section of the building was blessed, including the Chapel with cosmic atmosphere 'Embracing the Mystery', and the Memorial Garden.
