My name is Gabriela Pipit Lina, 32 years old. I started my career in 2009 as a reporter, and joined with local NGO since 2012- 2017 with main issues on disaster risk management and gender mainstreaming. My educational background is Communication-Bachelor Degree’s from Atma Jaya Yogyakarta University.
I have worked for Good Shepherd Indonesia-Yogyakarta since 2017 and before then as a volunteer. The greatest pleasure is seeing program participants who came with tears and go back home with nice smile. The atmosphere has given me huge opportunities working in many different approaches, which seek to combine the values of spirituality with other approaches.
I am a passionate advocate for human rights, with a focus on gender mainstreaming and the empowerment of marginalised communities, including women, children, people with disability, LGBTQI and indigenous people. I have a willingness to work anywhere in Indonesia, particularly in areas that are experiencing extreme poverty. I would like to grow my awareness of the many cultures across Indonesia, through working with people from many disciplines and backgrounds.
I am pro life feminist activist. I am married to Saptopo K, and Mom for a Son, named Godfrey El Sagesse. I live in Yogyakarta. I love my family.
